This is the medal of the eDreams Mitja Marató Barcelona by Brooks 2025
On February 16th, the finishers of the Barcelona half-marathon will be able to hang their medal, inspired by an iconic work of the artist Joan Miró.
On February 16th, 2025, the 35th edition of the eDreams Mitja Marató Barcelona by Brooks will take place. A date for which the Barcelona’s half-marathon has once again broken its registration record for the second consecutive year, with 30,000 runners.
A historic milestone that organizers of this event, known for the festive atmosphere during the race and their strong connection to the city, have chosen to celebrate by drawinginspiration for the designs of their two most representative gifts, the t-shirt and the medal, from the work of Barcelona-based artist Joan Miró. While the t-shirt is based on the ceramic mural at Terminal B of Barcelona Airport (1970), the medal is an adaptation of the pavement of Pla de l’Os on La Rambla in Barcelona (1976).
Thus, the finishers on the upcoming February 16th will be able to hang their medal, inspired by an iconic work of the artist. An added value to finishing the 21.095 kilometers of the largest half-marathon in Spain and the second largest in Europe.
In 2025, coinciding with the celebration of the 50th anniversary of the Fundació Miró, the eDreams Mitja Marató Barcelona by Brooks has chosen Joan Miró as the inspiration to color the streets of the Catalan capital through its t-shirts and medals, merging sports and culture from an avant-garde perspective in an international and multicultural environment. This vision also reflects Miró’s spirit, who, with his works, expanded his disruptive and alternative perspective from Barcelona to the rest of the world.
