The Zurich Marató Barcelona and the eDreams Mitja Marató Barcelona have already new dates for 2024. The 34th edition of the Mitja will take place on 11th of February, and just one month later, on 10th of March, it will be the turn of the 45th edition of the Marató. Moreover, for the second consecutive year, the two most international and most important races of the Catalan capital will open their registrations together, as a sign of their strong sport and social bond, on Thursday 1st of June.

Once again, the organisers have set their goals for 2024 with the aim of improving the experience of racing in Barcelona year after year. The Zurich Marató Barcelona and the eDreams Mitja Marató Barcelona are two exceptional races. Apart from being one of the most international ones in the territory, the organisation wants to continue its commitment to increase the total number of participants, as well as women’s presence.

On the one hand, for the eDreams Mitja Marató Barcelona 2024, the challenge is to achieve 25,000 registrations next year, having exhausted the 21,000 available bibs for 2023. On the other hand, the Zurich Marató Barcelona 2024 aims to overcome the 15,000 participants of this year’s edition.

Two new concepts for two unique experiences in Barcelona
For 2024, the eDreams Mitja Marató Barcelona and the Zurich Marató Barcelona launch two new slogans, with the intention of consolidating the city as the key part of both events. The purpose is involving its citizens to the maximum, so that they can take part in these sporting events and feel the pride and pertinence of the two great days of popular athletics in Barcelona, designed for both, international visitors and locals.

FAST OR FUN, BUT RUN is the new concept for the eDreams Mitja Marató Barcelona 2024. A phrase that sums up in a few words the essence of this race: a fast but fun circuit, international but local at the same time, where the most important thing is to have a good time and, at the same time, it has an ideal course to be able to look for a best personal best.

For its part, MAKE IT YOURS is the new slogan of the Zurich Marató Barcelona for 2024. The Marató offers the opportunity to enjoy Barcelona as each runner chooses, achieving the challenge of the 42 km in this unique city and uniquely, no matter who they are or where they come from. The great day of running in Barcelona wants to be for everyone.
