The eDreams Mitja Marató Barcelona 2025 opens registrations

– Barcelona’s half-marathon will be held next 16th of February, one month before the Zurich Marató Barcelona 2025 (16th of March).
– After the sold out 2024 with more than 28,000 runners, almost 10,000 women and a waiting list, the organizers hope to increase the number of participants for the next edition.

The eDreams Mitja Marató Barcelona registrations for 2025 are now open. Next 16th of February, one of the two most important popular athletics events in the country will be back, just one month before the Zurich Marató Barcelona 2025 (16th of March).

Under the slogan Feel The Beat, the organization wants to make the eDreams Mitja Marató Barcelona one of the half-marathons with the best atmosphere and animation in Europe and to surpass the registration figures of last year’s edition. After this year’s sold out, with more than 28,000 registrations, Barcelona’s race has become the most crowded half-marathon in Spain and the second biggest in Europe.

This year 2024, this race has achieved the highest number of participants in the history of this event and also a record number of women, with 9,800 women registered. In addition, 40% of the runners were international, coming from up to 98 different nationalities. Even so, the Kenyan Joyciline Jepkosgei has set the women’s record of the race in 01:04:29h, which, for the moment, is the best world time of the year for this distance.
