STRUCTURED CUSHIONING SO THAT YOU CAN ‘FLOAT’ DURING THE EDREAMS MITJA MARATÓ DE BARCELONA

16/12/2019

Many runners need their running shoes to maintain a comfortable alignment. For these runners, there are shoes with a particular structure that help reduce the torsion that overloads their bodies, especially at times when they feel most tired. The runner’s body and the dynamics of his/her footstep determine how much extra stability they need from their running shoes. It should be remembered that almost all runners lose efficiency in their gait cycle as the kilometres go by, and 21 kilometres is quite a high number!

The added level of stability is determined by the balance between the lateral and medial constructions of the heel.

After a runner finds the right level of cushioning for his/her footstep, some also feel more comfortable if the shoe provides medial support. This is the case of the new Saucony Guide 13 shoes, which have the best balance between good cushioning and fluid guidance.

Nowadays, the latest shoe construction technologies give sufficient stability control without reducing the cushioning. To do this, a moulded TPU guidance frame is incorporated under a layer of foam sole. The shape and size of the guides are designed to complement the cushioning characteristics of each model.

Run the eDreams Mitja Marató de Barcelona 2020 and don’t get tired with guided cushioning. Are you already training hard?
